Our Journey

From Idea to Implementation: Our Story

CompostWala was founded in 2024 by four Pune-based finance professionals who were moved to act after witnessing plastic waste clogging the Mula-Mutha river during the monsoons. Inspired by their love for nature and Pune’s progressive spirit, they set out to offer practical, eco-friendly alternatives to everyday plastic use.
What began as a conversation at a local café turned into a mission to make sustainability simple and accessible. Backed by RBAN Solutions, CompostWala is committed to delivering high-quality compostable products that help build a cleaner, greener future—one household at a time.
